Marcus wanted to fly since he was small, and was lucky enough to become an Air Force pilot in his early 20s. He quickly developed an interest in General Aviation and flew light aircraft when his military assignments permitted, including flying GA in Europe and Asia. He became an airplane owner shortly before he retired from the Air Force and now splits his flying time between commercial jets, fun family trips, and aerobatic competitions. Spending time with Recreational Aviation Foundation volunteers led to an interest in pubic interest activities and he looks forward to helping SouthWings promote understanding and preservation of ecosystems in the Southeast.
